FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmic surgery. Vitrectomy is performed, autologous platelet-rich plasma (hereinafter PRP) obtained from the patient's venous blood is injected into the macular rupture area (MRA) in an amount sufficient to close the MRA, and gas tamponade of the vitreous cavity. In this case, after the introduction of PRP into the rupture, the intravitreal fluid released from the MRA and excess PRP are aspirated. After that, the same amount of PRP is reintroduced into the gap.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing efficiency of the operation by achieving a good anatomical effect, as well as reducing the risks of intra- and postoperative complications.
