SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural production and can be used in agricultural institutions engaged in selection and seed-growing activities. The method for threshing the selection baskets of sunflower includes feeding the basket into the threshing apparatus, compressing the basket in a direction perpendicular to the seed surface and threshing it. The basket is fed manually onto the receiving table. Then, in automatic mode, the basket is directed by the feeder to compress it with squeezing rollers. The threshing of the basket is carried out by wiping the seeds out of it with a threshing roller with a deck per cycle, including several turns of the threshing roller and automatic ejection of the threshed basket at the end of the cycle. In this case, the starting frequency of rotation of the rollers is set in the range of 32 - 35 Hz, depending on the humidity of the basket. At the same time, the rotation frequency of the threshing roller changes in the direction of increase from the starting one by 1.4 times during the basket threshing cycle, controlled by the basket threshing program.

EFFECT: allows to increase the efficiency of threshing of selection baskets of sunflower of various varieties with minimal injury to the seeds when they are completely threshed.
