FIELD: wind power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wind power engineering and can be used for generating electrical power. The wind power unit comprises a head, a horizontal hollow shaft installed in the head, configured to rotate, mounted on one of the ends whereof is the main wind turbine connected by means of a mechanical transmission with the shaft mounted on the head of an alternating current generator. The auxiliary shaft has a screw thread and is mechanically connected with the hollow shaft. The auxiliary wind turbine is installed in the head coaxially with the main wind turbine connected with the hollow shaft through a screw pair. The idle rotation speed of the auxiliary wind turbine is equal to the optimal working rotation speed of the main wind turbine. The hollow shaft is placed inside the cylindrical protrusion of the head. The auxiliary wind turbine is installed at one of the ends of the auxiliary shaft passed through the hollow shaft, wherein the second end of said auxiliary shaft is connected with the hollow shaft through a screw pair and with the hub of the first disk of the first sliding pulley of the V-belt transmission, mounted on the second end of the hollow shaft, configured for rotation and axial movement, through a thrust bearing. The second disk and the first gear of the reducer gearbox, rigidly connected therewith, are also mounted on the second end of the hollow shaft, configured to rotate. The axial movement is limited in the direction from the first disk. The first gear is connected by a toothed engagement with the second gear installed on the first intermediate shaft and the third gear rigidly connected thereto, connected by a toothed engagement with the fourth gear rigidly fixed at the second end of the hollow shaft. The conical sides of the first and second disks are connected by a V-belt located between said disks with the third and fourth disks of the second sliding pulley of the V-belt transmission, installed on the second intermediate shaft. The third disk is fixed on the shaft immovably, and the fourth is configured to move axially under the impact of the spring in the direction of the third disk. The second intermediate shaft is connected with the shaft of the generator by means of a coupling.

EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the accuracy of maintaining the rotation frequency of wind turbines of various designs, optimal according to the criterion of maximum wind power utilisation coefficient, as well as an increase in the power transmitted from the wind turbine to the generator.
