SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for ignition. Proposed is a composition of a solid fuel containing stearic acid, ethanol, alkali metal hydroxide, characterised by the fact that sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide is used as alkali metal hydroxide at the following ratio of components, % wt.: stearic acid - 5, sodium hydroxide - 0.7, ethanol - 94.3, or stearic acid - 5, potassium hydroxide - 1.0, ethanol - 94.

EFFECT: increased heat output and uniformity of plasticity throughout the entire volume of the solid fuel with low technological labour intensity during manufacture thereof with increased durability and reliability of the solid fuel.
