FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and can be used for preheating and continuously horizontally supplying raw materials into an arc furnace. The apparatus is comprised of a channel for continuous horizontal supplying and preheating of raw materials, nozzles for supplying combustion gas, a first and a second dust-collecting holes by means whereof said channel is divided into a first intensive preheating area and a second preheating area. Nozzles are installed in the first intensive preheating area, each of the dust-collecting holes communicates with an apparatus for adjustment and distribution of flue gases by means of a flue gas pipeline. The dynamic fluid pressure generated by a jet stream from several rows of nozzles in the first intensive preheating area therein compensates for the negative pressure for dust collection in the second dust-collecting hole. A pressure sensor is used to control compliance with the requirements for a small negative pressure in the first dust-collecting hole, thus the amount of cold air flowing into the first dust-collecting hole is reduced.
EFFECT: invention allows adjusting the flow and temperature of the mixed flue gases, increases the thermal efficiency from preheating the scrap materials with nozzles and flue gases of the arc furnace and makes the manufacture more environmentally friendly.
