FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to mobile spittoons for collecting human sputum. The spittoon is comprised of a body, a cover, and an infiltrating pad for absorbing sputum. The body is made corrugated of plastic, so that tiers are formed therein to accommodate the infiltrating pad. The body is configured for placing a protective lining pad made of a spongy material over the infiltrating pad in order to prevent leakage of sputum. The cover is equipped with an accordion clamping mechanism to prevent oscillations and retain the infiltrating pad and the protective lining pad in the body. The clamping mechanism is configured to fold.

EFFECT: possibility of reusing the apparatus with subsequent disposal thereof is achieved.
