FIELD: communication equipment; cosmonautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication in data exchange systems with spacecraft for various purposes, namely, to methods of establishing communication between spacecraft and earth stations. Technical result is achieved by the fact that the spacecraft for the purpose of selecting an earth station for establishing communication with it on high-gain antenna systems (HGA) receives beacon signals from different earth stations to a low-gain antenna system (LGA) in the radio range, which is strongly influenced by the state of the atmosphere, and determines the optimum earth station from the quality of these signals.
EFFECT: development of method for autonomous establishment of communication on HGA in high-speed communication lines in ranges above 10 GHz and in optical range without participation of technical personnel of the mission control centre (MCC), performing preliminary planning of communication and control sessions (CCS).
