SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contact mass exchange, reaction and separation devices for cleaning flue and industrial gases containing inorganic components that form acidic aqueous solutions, organic substances and dust. The apparatus for wet desulfurization of flue gases from harmful gaseous impurities and fine solid particles contains a vertical body with a device for irrigation of flue gases with a liquid absorbent installed in the upper part and a container in the lower part for collecting it, as well as with a side pipe for supplying flue gases located in the lower part of the body above the specified container in the direction from top to bottom at an acute angle to the vertical. Inside the body in its longitudinal direction, there is at least one liquid-gas injector connected on the pressure side by means of a circulation pump to a container for collecting liquid absorbent. At the same time, at least two liquid-gas injectors are installed inside the container for collecting liquid absorbent located in the lower part of the vertical body, connected on the first pressure side to the source of ammonia water and on the second pressure side to the source of the gaseous oxidizing component.

EFFECT: invention allows increasing the productivity of the process of wet desulphurization of flue gases, to increase the intensity of mass transfer between the liquid absorbent and the absorbent substances of the purified flue gases and to ensure the possibility of removing sulfur dioxide from the purified flue gases with the lowest possible level of slip of free ammonia and salt aerosols.
