FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contact mass exchange and reaction apparatus and can be used, in particular, for wet cleaning of gases from acids, organic solvents, other chemical components, as well as solid particles and aerosols. Device for wet cleaning of gases comprises first vertical cylindrical housing with branch pipe in its upper part, arranged tangentially to first vertical cylindrical housing at an angle to vertical in direction from top to bottom. Guide device made in the form of a tape spiral is attached to the inner surface of the side wall of the first vertical cylindrical housing. Second vertical cylindrical housing passes through the hole in the upper end wall of the first vertical cylindrical housing and is fixed in the above hole. Gas outlet pipeline is connected to the upper part of the second vertical cylindrical housing. Second vertical housing does not adjoin the lower end wall of the first vertical housing. Second housing has an upper end wall, and a lower end wall is absent. In the lower part of the first vertical cylindrical housing there is a manifold containing nozzles and connected to the air supply pipeline passing through the hole in the side wall of the first housing. Movable header is attached to the inner surface of the side wall of the second housing. Above the movable header to the inner surface of the side wall of the second housing there is a drop separator attached, above which a chevron drop catcher is attached. Circulation pump is installed on the line of the pipeline for liquid removal, and a pipeline for liquid circulation is connected to it, which is connected to the irrigation pipeline. Liquid supply pipeline passes through the holes in the first and second housings and contains nozzles connected to it and placed between the movable header and the droplet separator and oriented towards the movable header. Pipeline for supply of flushing water passes through holes in the first and second vertical cylindrical housings and contains nozzles connected to it and placed between the droplet separator and chevron droplet catcher.
EFFECT: invention provides uniform wetting of guide belt surface with cleaning liquid during gas cleaning process, effective removal of solid particles from cleaned gas, reduction of gas humidity at the outlet of the apparatus, direction of gas flow at the initial section of its path corresponding to the direction of screw gas flow through the tape spiral.
