SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and namely to clinical psychology, psychodiagnostics, physiology, and can be used to diagnose a predisposition towards impulsive aggression in mentally healthy individuals. The method includes determining the amplitude and latency of the P50 auditory potential evoked by a conditioning stimulus in a paired presentation. After that it's necessary to determine the indicator of the basic latent period of the acoustic startle response from the right eye and the indicator of modification of the latent period of the acoustic startle response by the pre-stimulus at an advance interval of 60 ms from the left eye. Then the indicator of prestimulus inhibition of the amplitude of the acoustic startle-reaction is determined at an advance interval of 120 ms from the left eye. After that one should determine the indicator of facilitation of the amplitude of the acoustic startle response at an advance interval of 2500 ms from the left eye. After the tests are carried out, the resulting individual values ​​are analyzed. If the indicator belongs to the 95% confidence interval of the average indicator in the norm group, the number of points is 0. If the indicator belongs to the 95% -99% confidence interval of the average indicator in the norm group, there is 1 point. If the deviation of the indicator is beyond the 99% confidence interval but it is not more than three standard deviations from the average value of the norm group, the number of points is 2. If the deviation of the indicator from the average value of the norm group is more than three standard deviations, there are 3 points. If there are 5 points and more than 5 points, there is a risk of impulsive aggression.

EFFECT: invention provides high accuracy in diagnosing the risk of impulsive aggression in mentally healthy individuals by obtaining integrative quantitative indicators characterizing the individual characteristics of the mechanisms for processing sensory and sensorimotor information.
