FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agriculture, in particular, to diagnostics of mastitis in cows directly during mechanical milking. The electrical conductivity of the milk is measured in each quarter of the udder. Upon reaching the minimum permissible intensity of lactation, the maximum electrical conductivity of the milk on the ascending lactation branch is determined for 50 to 100 s. The values of the maximum electrical conductivity are estimated by the voltage drop on the lower arm of the divider. The relative differences in the estimates of the maximum electrical conductivity are calculated in each quarter. Subclinical mastitis is diagnosed at a deviation of the relative difference in the direction of increase by 6 to 10%. The apparatus is comprised of four parallel channels, an analyser, and a signalling unit. Each channel includes a voltage meter made in form of a voltage divider with electrodes and a reference resistor, a comparator, a time counter, and a determinant.
EFFECT: process of diagnosing mastitis in the quarters of the udder directly during milking is facilitated.
