FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves plotting lactation dynamics curves; using coefficient Cmys of milk yield synchronism of cow's udder quadrants as quantitative factor of stress resistance type, with this coefficient being determined as ratio of maximum difference in amounts of milk released during one cycle of operation of milking unit from each udder quadrant (area of figure plotted from lactility dynamics curves) and animal's one-time milk yield. Method allows quantitative characteristics of stress resistance and, consequently, cow adaptability to machine milking to be determined. EFFECT: increased efficiency in evaluating type of cow stress resistance and improved precision in determining cow adaptivity to machine milking. 1 dwg, 2 tbl
