FIELD: car service.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of passenger car servicing, maintenance, repair and can be used to detect hidden defects in restored car body parts. The device contains a lighting device that acts with radiation on the part under study, and an associated photodetector that generates an electrical signal, a unit for converting this signal, and a unit for controlling and evaluating the quality of a given set of local zones. Illuminators from a set of LEDs or semiconductor lasers with a fiber-optic radiation output are used, acting impulsively on the surface of the part under study with illumination control by means of the first video camera. The illuminators are coupled with their positioning devices and an electronic unit for adjusting the radiation power and pulse duration. A second video camera of a thermal imager on a tripod is used to monitor the processes of heating and subsequent cooling of the studied part with the registration of a sequence of thermograms, a computer associated with it is used to analyze digital images with the functions of highlighting local non-homogeneities of thermal fields on the surface of the studied part and their visual representation.
EFFECT: achieves an increase in the quality of performing control operations of vehicle body parts.
