SUBSTANCE: method for inkjet printing for producing a decorative surface including decorative layered panels shifted relative to each other, including the stages of: i) digitally separating the first main image (15, 30) into images of the decorative layered panels (16); ii) digitally shifting adjacent images (18) of the decorative layered panels by a selected shift distance (17) with a value from L/2 to L/20, wherein L constitutes the length of the decorative layered panel; iii) digitally forming a second main image (19, 33) from the adjacent images of the decorative layered panels shifted relative to each other (18); iv) printing the second main image (19, 33) using one or several inks for inkjet printing on a substrate, wherein the substrate constitutes a paper substrate and the one or several inks for inkjet printing constitute an aqueous pigmented ink for inkjet printing on a substrate prior to or after impregnation with a thermosetting resin; or wherein the one or several inks for inkjet printing constitute a UV-hardening ink for inkjet printing and the substrate constitutes a thermoplastic substrate based on a material selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and combinations thereof.
