FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: method of making decorative surfaces, including the following stages, carried out in the specified order: a) ink-jet printing (19) of image on first thermoplastic film (12) by jet application and UV curing of one or more pigmented UV-free curable ink-jet printing inks on first thermoplastic film (12); b) depositing on the image printed using ink-jet printing, a second thermoplastic film (12), a carrier layer containing a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate-vinyl alcohol copolymer, where said layer is located with face to image printed using inkjet printing on first thermoplastic film; and c) hot pressing (20) of first and second thermoplastic films to produce decorative laminate; where at least one of the first and second thermoplastic films is a transparent thermoplastic film; and where one or more pigmented UV-curable ink-jet printing ink comprises a polymerisable composition containing: from 30 to 90 wt % one or more compounds containing one ethylenically unsaturated polymerisable group; from 10 to 70 wt % one or more compounds containing two ethylenically unsaturated polymerisable groups; and from 0 to 10 wt % one or more compounds, containing three or more ethylenically unsaturated polymerisable groups, where all levels of weight percentage, wt %, are given per total weight of polymerisable composition.

EFFECT: production of decorative surfaces is proposed.
