FIELD: bearings.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a roller bearing wherein rolling elements in the form of balls move between two bearing races. A roller bearing wherein which the rolling elements are loaded is equipped with a separator separating the rolling elements, wherein at least one groove is located on the bearing race, wherein the rolling elements move along said groove. The edges of the groove are inclined at an angle α from 4.5 to 80° relative to the direction of movement of the rolling elements (3), and holes for the rolling elements are made in the separator (7), inclined so that the angle β between the straight line connecting the centre of the separator (7) with the centre of the hole for the rolling element (3), and the tangent to the rolling element (3) in the point of contact of said element with the separator (7) equals β>arctg μ, wherein μ is the coefficient of sliding friction when the material of the rolling element (3) is coupled with the material of the separator (7).
EFFECT: creation of a bearing with a torque resisting movement, which is four to ten times less than that of a bearing with a transverse groove and of a lubricated bearing, wherein said bearing is capable of operating without lubrication, wherein an operating life is maintained comparable to bearings lubricated with oil, liquid lubricating material, or grease.
