FIELD: processing of metals.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to mechanical processing of metals and can be used in manufacturing a coiled shell made of a wire with a non-circular cross-section, with reinforcement, operating in aggressive media under conditions of high temperatures. The coiled shell is made of a wire with a non-circular cross-section. Prior to winding, the wire is deformed by rolling on rollers, while the profile thereof is strengthened and changed. A mandrel is inserted into the apparatus. The deformed wire is placed in the apparatus installed in the tool holder of the lathe. The end of the wire is attached with a clamp and fastened with a screw. The wire is then wound onto the mandrel while the cartridge rotates. The shell is equipped with reinforcement non-detachably connected to the wire coils along the outer forming surface of the coiled shell.

EFFECT: elasticity and strength of the heat-resistant material of the shell are increased, rigidity of the shell is increased, maintaining the flexibility thereof, process of manufacture is simplified.
