FIELD: glass production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of surface treatment of glass; it can be used for the production of colored glass. In particular, glass is proposed containing glass substrate, on which coating containing at least one layer is applied. The mentioned layer consists of material containing metal nanoparticles dispersed in an inorganic oxide matrix. The mentioned metal nanoparticles consist of metal selected from a group that includes silver, gold, platinum, copper and nickel, or an alloy consisting of at least two of these metals, and the mentioned matrix contains, mainly consists of or is oxide of at least one element selected from a group that includes titanium, silicon, zirconium. The atomic ratio M/Me in the mentioned material is less than 1.5, while M is a set of atoms of elements from the mentioned group containing titanium, silicon, zirconium present in the mentioned layer, and Me is a set of atoms of metals from the group that includes silver, gold, platinum, copper and nickel present in the mentioned layer. Methods for the production of the specified glass are also proposed.
EFFECT: technical result is providing the possibility of simple adjustment and change of colorimetric characteristics of coating applied to the surface of glass substrate for the production of colored glass without adding additional metal oxides to the initial glass composition.
