SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to a method for treating mastitides in domestic animals, including external (transdermal) application of antibacterial substances in the form of an ointment containing an antibiotic of the cephalosporin range ceftriaxone and dried and ground kalanchoe leaves as an anti-inflammatory and bacteriostatic substance, at the following ratio of components, % wt.: dried and ground kalanchoe leaves - 5.0; ceftriaxone powder - 6.0; anhydrous lanolin - 44.5; vaseline - 44.5, wherein the ointment is applied externally once a day until recovery.

EFFECT: present invention expands the range of antibacterial substances for treating domestic animals in various forms of mastitis, provides an increase in the antibacterial activity of the drug, ensures creation of a preparation containing ceftriaxone preparation - an antibiotic of the III generation of the cephalosporin range exhibiting bactericidal activity, by means whereof the growth of most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms is suppressed, allowing for use of the ointment in mastitides complicated with pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microbiota, ensures creation of an ointment with high efficiency, harmlessness, antiseptic, antibacterial, regenerative and wound-healing activities, and also ensures the release of the wound from necrotised tissue.
