FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for determining the total thrust pulse during ground bench tests of a solid-fuel gas-reactive orientation system (SF GROS) with a gas storage capacity. The bench device is equipped with sensors for measuring temperature and pressure, a recording measurement system and a fire test control system, a simulator of control units with an additional flow nozzle is installed, which provides emptying of the gas storage tank for the estimated total time of creating control forces, and a control valve located behind the additional flow nozzle, and the gas storage tank is equipped with pressure and temperature sensors. This implementation of the bench device will increase the accuracy of determining the total thrust pulse under conditions of changing gas temperature in the gas storage tank when it is filled and emptied. The bench device provides gas retention in the gas storage tank and its emptying through a simulator of control units with a control valve for a certain time. The method for determining the total thrust pulse is that after pumping gas into the gas storage tank, the gas is kept in it for an estimated time, and then the tank is emptied using a simulator of control units for a certain time, while the pressure and temperature of the gas are continuously recorded.
EFFECT: total thrust pulse is determined by calculation based on the average integral gas temperature during the emptying of the gas storage tank.
