FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in devices for controlling the valve timing of internal combustion engines. The valve timing control device of a four-stroke piston engine includes a toothed pulley (1) of a toothed belt drive with a drive gear (2), a camshaft (3) with a driven gear (4) fixed to it. The toothed pulley (1) is made integral with the drive gear (4) and is freely mounted on the shaft. Rotation from the leading to the driven gear (2), (4) is transmitted through a block of two gears (5), (6) with different diameters of pitch circles, mounted on the axis (7) of the frame (8). The frame (8) can be rotated about the camshaft axis (3). With a total gear ratio from the crankshaft to the camshaft (3) equal to 1:2, the gear ratio between the crankshaft and camshaft toothed pulleys (3) should not be equal to 1:2.
EFFECT: simplification of the design.
