FIELD: oil and gas exploration.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas geology and is used to increase the information content and efficiency of obtaining data on the chemical and mineral component composition of rocks of black shale oil-bearing formations. A method for determining the mineral component composition of rocks of black shale oil-bearing formations is proposed, which consists in the fact that by using portable X-ray-fluorescent chemical composition analyzers on a longitudinally sawn core, the chemical composition of rocks is determined with a detailed reference to the geological section and the type of rock. At the same time, based on the results of processing these data, the main rock-forming minerals and rock components are calculated separately according to the main host mass of rocks and inclusions, and as a result, the most detailed characteristic of the chemical composition of the rock by elements is obtained, with the calculated content of the most important parameters of the mineral-component composition of black shale oil-bearing formations: biogenic silica, calcite, dolomite, pyrite, terrigenous admixture (aluminosilicates), phosphorite, barite. Moreover, the frequency of the composition determinations made by the section exceeds the detail of high-resolution methods for geophysical logging.
EFFECT: increase in the detail, accuracy, and efficiency of research while reducing the cost of conducting research.
