SUBSTANCE: claimed group of inventions relates to a device and method for the production and distribution of nitrogen. The device for the production and distribution of nitrogen, in particular for a vessel carrying liquefied gas, includes nitrogen generators, each of which contains an air inlet and an air outlet. At least one of these generators includes a compressor containing a rotor for compressing air; and a buffer tank for storing nitrogen. The device contains at least one system for changing the frequency or speed of rotation of the rotor of at least one generator with the compressor, and it also contains main means for distributing nitrogen coming out of the specified at least one generator with the compressor, without passing through the specified buffer tank, to supply nitrogen to at least two separate consumers.
EFFECT: claimed group of inventions provides an increase in the service life of the equipment.
