FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wireless communication, in particular to transmitting information about the channel state via feedback based on a code book. The method includes: sending a pre-coding matrix indicator (hereinafter – PMI) by user equipment (hereinafter – UE) to a transmission/reception point (hereinafter – TRP), where PMI is used to indicate a target pre-coding matrix and a parameter value that corresponds to a difference parameter of a block code book, where the target pre-coding matrix is a pre-coding matrix in the code book; wherein the code book is a code book pre-generated by UE based on a code book configuration parameter; at least some pre-coding matrices in the code book are obtained by converting from pre-coding matrices in block code books and the parameter value; there are at least two block code books; there is a correspondence between a number of parameter values and a number of block code books; wherein the code book configuration parameter includes the number of block code books in the code book and the length of a vector corresponding to the pre-coding matrix in the block code book; and the block code book is formed based on a pre-determined pre-coding matrix.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of beam positioning and system performance.
