FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method for attenuation in an antenna of Rayleigh fading provided by multipath propagation is proposed. The method includes the connection of the antenna on the upper part of a structure covered with a layer absorbing radio frequency (RF) radiation with such a shape that any reflecting surface of the specified structure is perpendicular to an incoming radio frequency signal. The method also includes the direction of the incoming radio frequency signal to the specified structure, wherein unwanted straight or reflected radio frequency signals either are absorbed by the layer absorbing radio frequency radiation or are deflected back to a source of the radio frequency signal with the prevention of interference by the unwanted radio frequency signal to a required radio frequency signal directed to the antenna.

EFFECT: improved antenna characteristics due to the fact that the problem of reduction of parasitic energy of antenna side lobes is solved.
