HIGH-FREQUENCY SIGNAL RECEIVING / TRANSMISSION DEVICE BASED ON PHOTOCONDUCTING ELEMENTS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01J1/04

Abstract RU 2644028 C1

FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio equipment and more particularly to high frequency (HF) signal receiving / transmitting devices based on photoconductive switching elements. According to the invention, the RF device comprises a signal electrode with matching elements arranged along its edge, an earth electrode, a dielectric layer between the signal and ground electrodes, a grid of photoconductive elements (PE), an excitation signal input point, and load elements electrically connected to the matching elements, each PE being in OFF state in the absence of a control light flux and an in ON state in the presence of a control light flux, while the switched on PEs form a reflection profile for the signal supplied from the excitation signal input point, the distance between neighboring PEs being less than half the wavelength of the excitation signal.

EFFECT: technical result is the provision of scanning / creation of the necessary phase distribution on the output ports of the device with low losses, with low requirements to the control power and without deterioration of the gain factor.
