FIELD: electrical machines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of brushless synchronous electrical machines containing rotating rectifiers, and more specifically to semiconductor diodes used in rotating rectifiers, in which the semiconductor element is enclosed in a sealed housing. A diode for a rotary rectifier comprises a semiconductor element, a base, a dome-shaped element, an electrode terminal, and an insulating element. The semiconductor element is located in an enclosed space between the base and the dome element. The electrode lead, dome, semiconductor, and base, in that order, are elements of the electrical circuit of the diode. The insulating element prevents direct electrical contact between the dome and the base. In this case, the dome-shaped element is connected to the electrode terminal in its dome section and connected to the semiconductor element in its edge section.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of sealing the enclosed space in which the semiconductor element is located, as well as in increasing the reliability of the electrical contact between the semiconductor element and the electrode terminal.
