FIELD: material engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for protection against mechanical damage, aggressive environmental conditions and decoration of metal, fiberglass and concrete structures, including the coating of metal products in contact with drinking water and food products. The invention relates to a powder composition based on a mixture of ethylene copolymers containing: component (A), which is an ethylene copolymer with a density of 0.910-0.945 g/cm3, alpha-olefins containing from 3 to 8 carbon atoms in the chain are used as comonomers for the copolymer, the melt flow index of component (A) is 5.0-100.0 g/10 min at a temperature of 190°С and a load of 2.16 kgf, the content of component (A) is 28-93.9, wt. % , component (B), which is a copolymer of ethylene with a density of 0.930-0.960 g/cm3 with grafted functional groups of carboxylic acids, alpha-olefins containing from 3 to 8 carbon atoms in the chain are used as comonomers for the copolymer, maleic acid, or fumaric acid, or itaconic acid, or acrylic acid are used as functional groups of carboxylic acids, the content of functional groups of carboxylic acids is 0.1-1.0, wt. %, the melt flow rate of component (B) is 0.1-35 g/10 min at a temperature of 190°С and a load of 2.16 kgf, the content of component (B) is 5-38, wt. %, component (C), which is an ethylene-based elastomer with a density of 0.860-0.890 g/cm3, as a comonomer of which alpha-olefins containing from 3 to 8 carbon atoms in the chain are used, the melt flow rate of component (C) is 5.0-45 g/10 min at a temperature of 190°С and a load of 2.16 kgf, the content of the component (C) is 1-32, wt. % , component (D), which is a complex of stabilizers from the classes of hindered phenolic antioxidants and phosphite antioxidants with a ratio from 1:4 to 3:1, respectively, while the content of component (D) is 0.1-2.0, wt. %.
EFFECT: optimal melt flow rate and a high stabilization characteristic of the coating material with good visual surface quality, resistance to mechanical damage and aggressive environmental factors.
