The operating apparatus for an autonomous vehicle includes a touch-controlled panel configured to display at least one from the movement start button and the deceleration button and an alert button on the same screen. The autonomous vehicle is capable of autonomous movement. The movement start button is the button for starting the movement of the autonomous vehicle in the autonomous movement mode. The deceleration button is a button for decelerating the autonomous vehicle during the autonomous movement mode. The alert button is a button for alerting on the outside of the autonomous vehicle. The operating apparatus for an autonomous vehicle additionally comprises a mechanical control unit configured to control the speed of the autonomous vehicle, wherein the mechanical control unit has an alert switch for alerting on the outside of the autonomous vehicle.

EFFECT: provided possibility of quick and easy switching between the action for controlling the speed of the vehicle and the action for alerting on the outside of the vehicle.
