SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aerosol delivery device and to the first and the second cartridges for an aerosol delivery device. The aerosol delivery device contains the first section for placing aerosol-forming substance, from which aerosol flow can be generated, and the second section for placing material. The first section and the second section are located side by side in the device so that, during use, aerosol flow generated from aerosol-forming substance in the first section flows through material in the second section before being inhaled by a user. The first section is designed so that, during use, air enters it in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the device, and aerosol leaves it in the second section in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the device.

EFFECT: compactness of the device is ensured and, as a result, a shorter and more efficient air flow path is provided, as a result of which the quality of vapor supplied to the user is improved.
