SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlling a winding apparatus in a hairdressing appliance (1) for curling hair, containing a core (7) and a winder (9), wherein the latter is configured to rotate in a preset direction to wind a strand of hair around the core, wherein the winder is rotated by a motor (12) operated by a control body (19). The method comprises a stage of rotating the winder in a preset direction, starting upon activation of the control body, a stage of stopping the rotation of the winder, starting upon deactivation of the control body. The method comprises the last stage of rotating the winder in the opposite direction, starting following each stage of stopping the rotation of the winder, wherein the winder is rotated until reaching a preset stop position.
EFFECT: improved control of a hairdressing apparatus for curling hair.
