SUBSTANCE: subject of invention is hairdressing appliance (1) for hair curler, comprising rod (3), reservoir (10) with liquid, tampon (13), communicating with reservoir so that it is wetted by liquid, heating element (21) built into rod, and means for guiding tampon (13), made so that to ensure its transfer from passive position to active position, in which said tampon contacts with heating element (21), which creates possibility of steam generation. Device (1) is equipped with a unit for counting duration, system (33, 38) for determining active position of tampon (13), made so as to include a reference unit from the moment of switching to an active position, and an alarm system configured to output a signal to a user when the count in the reference unit has reached a predetermined duration.
EFFECT: hairdressing appliance equipped with a device for switching on a counting unit.
