SUBSTANCE: subject of invention is hairdressing appliance (1) for hair curling, containing rod (3), plate (4), hingedly fixed on device with formation together with clamp rod with possibility of plate movement from disconnection position from rod into position of pressing to rod. Device also comprises heating element, reservoir (10) with liquid, tampon (13) made as one whole with reservoir and communicating with it so that its wetting with liquid takes place, and guide means placed between container and rod to allow transfer of reservoir and tampon from passive position to active position, in which tampon contacts with heating element (21), which creates possibility of steam generation. Hairdressing appliance (1) contains locking-unlocking system (22) designed so that to ensure retention of the reservoir and the tampon in the active position.
EFFECT: disclosed is a hairdressing appliance equipped with a system for blocking a reservoir with water and a tampon in a steam generation position.
