SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a detergent composition for fibers and to a method for washing fibers. The detergent composition for fibers is described containing the following component (A), optionally the following component (B), optionally the following component (C), and optionally the following component (D), wherein the component (A) is internal olefin sulfonate having 17 or more and 24 or less carbon atoms, the component (B) is a nonionic surfactant, and the component (C) is one or more chelating agents of a metal ion selected from (C1) chelating agent of a metal ion, which is one or more of inorganic compounds selected from following (C1-2), (C1-3) and (C2), and a chelating agent of a metal ion, which is an organic compound selected from following (C2-1):(C1-2) aluminosilicate, (C1-3) tripolyphosphate, and (C2-1) divalent or higher-valent and tetravalent or lower-valent carboxylic acid having 4 or more and 12 or less carbon atoms and containing an amino group or its salts, and the component (D) is one or more surfactants selected from following anionic surfactants: a component (d1), a component (d2), a component (d3), and a component (d4), wherein the component (d1) is alkyl- or alkenyl sulfate, the component (d2) is polyoxyalkylene alkyloxy sulfate or polyoxyalkylene alkenyloxysulfate, the component (d3) is an anionic surfactant having a sulfonate group (except for the component (A)), and the component (d4) is fatty acid or its salt, wherein the mass ration (B)/(A) of the component (B) to the component (A) is 0 or more and 0.6 or less. The composition contains the following component (B1), when the composition contains the component (B), wherein the component (B1) is a nonionic surfactant having HLB of more than 10.5 and 19 or less, which is represented by the following general formula (b1): R1(CO)mO-(A1O)n-R2 (b1), in which R1 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 9 or more and 16 or less carbon atoms, R2 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, CO is a carbonyl group, m=0 or 1, A1O group is one or more groups selected from an ethylene oxy group and a propylene oxy group, and n is an average number of added moles and is equal to 6 or more and 50 or less. The content of the component (A) is 4 wt.% or more and 50 wt.% or less. The mass ratio of the content of internal olefin sulfonate with the sulfonate group in a position 2 or higher and position 4 or lower to the content of internal olefin sulfonate with the sulfonate group in a position 5 or higher and position 9 or lower in the component (A), i.e. (the content of internal olefin sulfonate with the sulfonate group in the position 2 or higher and position 4 or lower)/(the content of internal olefin sulfonate with the sulfonate group in the position 5 or higher and position 9 or lower) is 0.8 or more and 20 or less. The content of the component (C) is 0 wt.% or more and 20 wt.% or less. The content of the component (A) in the total weight of the component (A) and components (d1)-(d4) is 50 wt.% or more and 100 wt.% or less. The composition is a composition for using in washing fibers in water containing a rigidity component.
EFFECT: creation of the detergent composition for fibers that can make fibers soft, while maintaining detergency against staining related to fiber.
