SUBSTANCE: fiber modifier consists of internal olefin sulfonate having 17 or more and 24 or less carbon atoms. The mass ratio of internal olefin sulfonate with a sulfonate group in a position 2 or higher and 4 or lower (IO-1S) to internal olefin sulfonate with a sulfonate group in a position 5 or higher (IO-2S) is 0.8 or more and 6 or less. The invention also relates to the use of the fiber modifier as a lubricant, a method for finishing textile products, a method for processing textile products and applications of internal olefin sulfonate as a fiber modifier, as a lubricant and as a softening agent for textile products.

EFFECT: invention provides for giving soft texture to textile products, not reducing their water-absorbing capability.
