FIELD: direction finding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to seismic direction finders and can be used to determine the bearing of a moving intruder in protection of territories and accesses to various objects. Substance: the apparatus comprises four seismic receivers (1 to 4) located in the ground mutually perpendicularly and at the same distance along the abscissa and ordinate axes at the vertices of a square, intended for determining the direction to the surface seismic disturbance. The apparatus also comprises ten signal pair processing units (5), namely: two main signal pair processing units for executing primary quadrangular bearing and eight additional signal pair processing units for executing four additional triangular bearings using the corresponding signals from the above seismic receivers located at the vertices of four isosceles right-angled triangles isolated from the square of the seismic receivers. A unit (6) of the calculator of the direction to the source of the seismic disturbance is connected to the outputs of all signal pair processing units (5), configured to calculate the resulting bearing by averaging the primary and additional bearings.

EFFECT: reduction in the base distance between the seismic receivers.
