FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lifting cranes. When assembling a crane, first mast (10) is fixed in a vertical position. Upper mast section (35) of second mast (30) is located next to and outside the first mast. The upper mast section is moved vertically upwards, and this movement is guided by guide system (60). Then, the upper mast section is fixed relatively to the first mast in a position that is located at a greater vertical distance from crane base (2). Then, first intermediate mast section (36) of the second mast is attached to lower end (35b) of the upper mast section to build up the second mast. Then, the first intermediate mast section is connected to hinge (31), and the second mast is turned away from the first mast. The crane additionally contains device (70) for installing mast sections and device (75) for locking mast sections for the corresponding movement of the first mast to a vertical position and locking the section of the second mast relatively to the section of the first mast.
EFFECT: ensuring the assembly and disassembly of the crane on a site, where the available space is limited, is achieved.
