FIELD: mechanical engineering; tower cranes. SUBSTANCE: proposed telescopic mast of tower crane consists of several members freely fitted one into the other. Each member of mast is box-like structure of polygonal section with more than four sides, particularly, dodecahedral section, formed by front side surface and rear side surface square to middle plane, right side surface and left side surface parallel to middle plane and side inclined surfaces. Mast is provided with directing and automatic interlock. Directing means are made in form of guide members with sliding plate to direct members relative to each other, arranged on side inclined surfaces of mast members. Means for interlocking mast members in successive definite positions are located on side surfaces parallel to middle plane. EFFECT: provision of optimum section of mast members with increase in mechanical strength, resistance to wind and reliable direction of mast members. 5 cl, 7 dwg
