FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to a method for manufacturing forged blanks from (α+β)-titanium alloys by hot deformation. The method for manufacturing a billet in the form of a bar from (α+β)-titanium alloys includes forging an ingot into a bar in several passes at a temperature of the β-area, intermediate forging in several passes, final deformation at a temperature of the (α+β)-area, and machining. The forging of the ingot in the β-area is carried out at a temperature Тpt+(70-170)°С with a forging value of 2.9-3.5 and subsequent cooling in air, the intermediate forging of the billet in the form of a bar is carried out first in the (α+β)-area at temperature (Тpt-40)°С with a forging value of 1.5-1.6 for one pass, then the billet in the form of a rod is heated in the β-area for recrystallization of the alloy at a temperature Тpt+(70-170)°С, forging the billet in the form of a bar at a temperature of the β-area, they are carried out with a bite size of 1.25-1.45, followed by cooling in water, the final forging into a bar is carried out in the (α+β)-area at a temperature of (Тpt-40)°С with a bite size of 4.5- 5.5.
EFFECT: increased strength by obtaining a homogeneous finely dispersed microstructure containing an equiaxed-phase in a transformed β-matrix without signs of β-grain boundaries.
