FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular, to methods for manufacturing forged workpieces from (α+β)-titanium alloys. The method for manufacturing a forged workpiece in the form of a rod from (α+β)-titanium alloys includes forging an ingot into a workpiece in the form of a bar in several passes at a temperature of the β-area, intermediate forging in several passes, final deformation at a temperature of the (α+β)-area. The ingot in the β-area is forged at a temperature Tpt+170°C with a value of reduction of 1.9 to 2.3, followed by cooling the workpiece in the form of a rod in air from the temperature Tpt, intermediate forging of the workpiece in the form of a rod is performed first in the β-area at the temperature Tpt+170°C with a value of reduction of 1.8 to 2.2, followed by cooling the workpiece in the form of a rod in air from the temperature Tpt, and then the workpiece in the form of a rod is heated in the β-area and forged at a temperature Tpt+170°C with a value of reduction of 1.7 to 1.8, followed by cooling in air from the temperature Tpt, the finishing forging into a rod is performed in the (α+β)-area at a temperature Tpt-40°C with a value of reduction of 5.0 to 5.5, and then the resulting workpiece in the form of a rod is mechanically processed, wherein Tpt is the temperature of polymorphic transformation of the alloy.
EFFECT: high values of strength, plasticity and power consumption of the material of the workpiece are achieved.
