SUBSTANCE: invention relates to quarry dump trucks. A body of a quarry dump truck contains a front wall and two opposite sidewalls (6). Each sidewall (6) has inner surface (7) and upper edge part (8) extending backwards from the rear edge of sidewall (6) in the direction of the front wall. Each sidewall (6) contains upper reinforcing element (10) formed as a whole with sidewall (6) and passing along its upper edge part (8). A truck contains a body. The method for manufacturing the body of the quarry dump truck consists in making each sidewall (6) with reinforcing element (10), which is made as a whole with sidewall (6) and passes along upper edge part (8) of sidewall (6). Reinforcing element (10) contains part (11) for protecting the lining that protrudes inward beyond inner surface (7) of sidewall (6) in the direction of opposite sidewall (6). The lining of the sidewall is attached to inner surface (7) of each sidewall (6). The lining has upper edge (13) passing directly under part (11) for protecting the lining that protects the specified edge.

EFFECT: invention increases the reliability and reduces the installation time.
