FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to transport machine building. The body of a haul truck comprises an outer load-bearing structure containing a front wall, two opposing side walls, and a bottom, and an inner load-bearing structure. The inner load-bearing structure is located on the inner surfaces of the outer load-bearing structure and comprises a lining surface and multiple elements. The inner supporting structure comprises a polymer. The thickness of the elements of the inner load-bearing structure located on the bottom of the body differs from the thickness of the elements of the inner load-bearing structure located on the sides of the body. The method for creating the body of a haul truck includes designing the outer load-bearing structure, determining the value of additional strength provided by the inner load-bearing structure, determining the reduced thickness of the outer load-bearing structure based on the additional strength, manufacturing the body of the haul truck with a reduced thickness.
EFFECT: wear of the body of the haul truck is reduced.
