FIELD: seats for vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to child safety seats. The child safety seat (100) comprises a base (120), a body (110) of the seat and a multifunctional energy absorber (150) for the child safety seat (100) located between the base (120) and the body (110). The base (120) configured to be functionally attached to a seat of a vehicle. The body (110) of the seat is configured to accommodate and secure a child therein and to be functionally attached to the base, allowing for alternate movement of the body between multiple positions relative to the base and locking thereof in said positions. The multifunctional energy absorber comprises a connecting element (224) and an arc-shaped element (222), the corresponding opposite ends whereof are functionally connected to the connecting element. The connecting element (224) is configured to be attached to the frame of the body (110) of the child seat. The arc-shaped element (222) is configured for sliding interaction with the support surface (240) of the base (120) of the child seat when the chair is in the unlocked state thereof.

EFFECT: creation of a multifunctional and/or multidirectional energy absorber for a child safety seat is achieved.
