FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. Laser descemetogoniopuncture (LDGP) is performed on trabecula descemetal membrane (TDM) using YAG-laser before fistula formation in a period of 20-35 days after previous non-penetrating deep sclerectomy (NPDS) surgery. Therewith, TDM dissection using laser is produced with an energy of 2.2-3.2 mJ parallel to trabecula, along the upper edge of descemetal membrane (DM), at the border with corneal stroma. In this case, DM is dissected in such a way that there remains a linear area of dissection equal to the length of TM opening. Doing so, the trabecula itself remains intact. In a particular case, the laser effect on TDM is carried out using a neodymium YAG-laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm.
EFFECT: method allows reducing post-surgery complications.
