FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for monitoring the working state of the friction layer of the disc brake pad and can be used in braking systems of mobile equipment. The device consists of a brake disc in contact (during braking) with a brake pad, in the body of which a wear sensor is rigidly fixed, layered in the transverse direction by alternating dielectric and ferromagnetic layers, while each of the ferromagnetic layers is connected by insulated wires with one end of the signal indicator, respectively, the other end of which is connected to the “plus” of the battery. The conductive cores of insulated wires are connected to their corresponding ferromagnetic layers, for example, by means of solder POS-61. The indicators are located in the area of direct visibility of the driver of the vehicle.
EFFECT: expansion of the functionality of the device in terms of tracking the wear process of the brake pad.
