BRAKE PAD WEAR CONTROL DEVICE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC F16D66/02

Abstract RU 2648924 C2

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport machine building. Brake shoe wear monitoring device, which interacts with the brake drum and has a friction liner, contains a conductor, a power source and an ammeter. In the friction lining body on its working surface a groove is made, in which a conductor of rectangular cross section is fixed. Bent at 90° conductor ends pass through holes made coaxially in the shoe and lining body so that one end of the conductor is connected to the "plus" of the power source, "minus" of the power source is connected to the "plus" of the ammeter, "minus" of the ammeter is connected to the second end of the conductor, forming a closed electrical circuit.

EFFECT: enabling increase in the accuracy of brake pads wear control.
