FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use on railway transport and relates to automation and telemechanics apparatuses for controlling car retarders on hump yards. The automated system car retarder pneumatic drive control (CR PDC) with braking mechanisms for the right and left wheels of the car with pneumatic cylinders of the drive of each mechanism, with a main pneumatic line connecting the pneumatic cylinders, two apparatuses for CR PDC containing an air collector connected to the main pneumatic line by a pneumatic main, having a pneumatic pressure regulator (PPR) for air, an electropneumatic pneumatic valve control unit including a pressure regulator controlled by two two-position pneumatic valves with electromagnetic control, air pressure sensors of the main pneumatic line, air collector and control cavity of the brake pneumatic cylinder, an electronic control unit (ECU), a switching unit, a data transmission channel connecting the switching units, a diagnostics unit, an emergency control unit, a control panel with an access module. The method for controlling apparatuses for CR PDC includes a controller of one ECU surveying the state of another ECU and elements thereof, the controller of the ECU receiving a task for the air pressure stage in the PC from the hump yard post operator and performing the task by sending discrete signals of commands for activation and deactivation of the electromagnets for controlling the PR valves and pneumatic distributors of air supplied to the control cavities of the brake and brake release valves of the PPR.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of controlling the value of braking force and the reliability of operation of the automated system for CR PDC, as well as a reduction in the air consumption during operation of the CR.
