FIELD: cutting tools.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for hardening the cutting parts of a cultivator share by spot electromechanical treatment. The method includes electromechanical treatment of the surface of the cutting parts of the cultivator share by creating a pressing force and a current density of up to 109A/m2, forming hardening areas at a depth of 3 mm. Treatment is conducted along the cutting part of the share in sections with a diameter of 6 to 15 mm, wherein the centres of the sections are located on the same line at a distance of 3 to 7. 5 mm from the edge of the cutting parts of the cultivator share and at a distance of 10 to 15 mm from each other.
EFFECT: increase in the durability of cultivator shares due to the increase in the hardness and wear resistance to abrasive wear of the cutting blades with the provided effects of self-sharpening and formation of a sawtooth blade during the operation of the products.
