FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine, namely to surgery. An incision is made as follows: the beginning of the straight part of the incision is located 3.0 to 4.0 cm caudal to the costal cartilage of the xiphoid process and extends along the linea alba in the caudal direction to the umbilical ring and further at a distance equal to twice the distance from the costal cartilage of the xiphoid process to the umbilical ring. The arcuate part of the incision is therein located 3.0 to 4.0 cm caudal to the last rib and extends from the beginning of the straight part of the incision at an angle of 55° to the right side of the linea alba parallel to the costal arch and is equal to the length of the straight part of the incision from the costal cartilage of the xiphoid process to the umbilical ring.

EFFECT: method eliminates nerve damage and disorders of the haemodynamics of the body by preventing damage to blood vessels, increases the accessibility and noninvasivenes of removal of the stomach from the abdominal cavity, eliminates malpositioning of the stomach in the post-surgical period, eliminates marginal tissue necrosis in the post-surgical period due to the permissible angle (55°) of separation thereof between the two parts of the incision, provides a possibility of reducing the time of surgery and reduce the post-surgical period.
