FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: terminal contains a receiving module configured to receive control information constituting a trigger for initiating a random access procedure; a control module configured to select a favourable resource for transmitting a random access preamble; and a transmission module configured to transmit a random access preamble using said favourable resource, wherein the receiving module is configured to receive a response to the random access preamble using a resource for monitoring control information in order to receive a response to the random access preamble, assuming a quasi-location unrelated to the quasi-location associated with the resource for monitoring control information.

EFFECT: provided possibility for the terminal of appropriately receiving a random access response in a wireless communication system using beam formation, due to the fact that the receiving module is configured to ignore the quasi-location interconnection corresponding to the resource for monitoring the specified control information, allowing for monitoring of the responses using the quasi-location interconnection corresponding to the selected SSB, regardless of the quasi-location of the available resources.
